Center for Leadership and Entrepreneurial Studies

The focus of the Center is that of building leadership capacity in small business organizations with the goal of developing the person as an entrepreneur and the business as a successful venture. The organization helps to equip small business owners and entrepreneurs with the tools needed to transform and strengthen their organizations.

​We provide cutting edge research and publications, seminars, workshops, conferences, and other educational offerings to advance the knowledge of leadership within the small business context. We do this because we believe that small businesses play a critical role in our nation and is vital to our progress as a society. 

The Center has an Advisory Board that works together to determine the direction taken and sustains itself through grants, donations, publications, conferences, and our educational offerings.

America's oldest, nonpartisan small-business advocacy group


SAN DIEGO, CA. Dr. Theresa Robinson Harris, Founder and President of the Center for Leadership and Entrepreneurial Studies, SW was recently named to the National Small Business Association (NSBA) Leadership Council. NSBA is the nation’s oldest small-business advocacy organization and operates on a staunchly nonpartisan basis. Dr. Harris, a recognized leader in the small-business community, joins the NSBA Leadership Council alongside other small-business advocates from across the country as they work to promote the interests of small business to policymakers in Washington, D.C.
