Attend a Workshop Our Community workshops are designed to strengthen the individual as an entrepreneur and the business as a sustainable venture. We focus then not just on the business but also on the individual, connecting them to mentors, students, financial resources, and others within the community who can support their growth. Make a DifferenceThere are various ways to join our efforts. Your financial support helps to provide sponsorship to attend our workshops as well as provide stipends for students working on consulting projects. Those interested can also sign up to become a mentor or to speak at one of our events.

Congratulations To Our Grant Recipients!
These entrepreneurs were awarded $2,000 grants funded by the Coca Cola Foundation and the University of Notre Dame. They were successful at completing at least 25 of the 80 activity steps used to track progress in our UPBI Program.

La Mesa Christian Bookstore
La Mesa Christian Bookstore was launched by Ashton Fulcher, who was in the inaugural cohort of the San Diego program in Fall, 2021. As a result of the program, the business has been able to refine its retail strategy and prioritize implementation into phases, which is helping to maximize the business’ resources. It has also developed operational plans that will streamline important aspects of the business. With the funds provided by the grant, they will be increasing inventory supply and updating displays, and investing in marketing.

Earth to Marrs
William Mars, founder of Earth to Marrs attended the first San Diego program in Fall 2021 and has invented an automatic toilet paper dispenser. As a result of the program, Earth to Marrs was able to develop a two-year projection as well as refine their target market, create a high production commercial, and an initial website to speak to the customer base. They have developed an operational plan, on-boarding and written job descriptions. With the funds provided by the grant, part will be used to better develop the prototype and part will be used to fund the printed circuit board needed for the product.

Greenish Vibes
Greenish Vibes is a family owned and operated cannabis accessories + CBD lifestyle brand . They create Cannabis friendly educational, lifestyle programming and pop up events. They are creating community and providing resources at every engagement. They seek to source the best brands and provide them to their online audience and via pop up shops throughout the world. As a result of the program they have strengthened the foundation of their business in everything from operations to marketing to formal business planning. With the grant they are able to buy necessary operational supplies and fund partnerships.
